Singers Dayang Nurfaizah Awang Dowty and Malaysian Idol winner Jaclyn Victor will battle it out in the Ikon Malaysia singing competition on July 28. They will be joined by OAG and Flop Poppy in the group category, organisers of the show announced yesterday.
Two wildcard entries among the losing semi-finalists will be decided via SMS on July 18 to make it a six-contestant final.
The solo and group winners will represent Malaysia to compete against artistes from Indonesia and the Philippines in the Ikon Asean finals on Aug 12.
Ikon Malaysia champion will receive US$2,500 (RM8,500) while the winner of the regional contest will take home US$25,000.
